It was super low key. My sister Angi, Eric and I went to Sushi-Thai. Then went to The Brewery to watch Sequoyah Prep School and get tipsy. Thought I would post them instead of deleting them. But it was a fun night, people wished me well and I got some free drinks. Good times. Ohh! I had an "expensive fancy sushi, too." I got the one with the least amount of dairy which is "The Dragon roll."
Using my neti pot all through hay fever season! - Only I could be excited about this, but I learned the benefits are real, you just have to man up to the neti pot.
This Hoop Jam. - This day really established bonds with the regulars of the group. And it was liberating for me to be this personal with people.
DPAC Tweet up! - The last tweetup I went to, I went on a whim and had a blast! I won tickets to see Legally Blonde and IT WAS FUN!
Orlando - Deb - ROAD TRIPS! - This was significant in different ways. 1. Never doubt the power of Mercury in Retrogade. Mercury was in retrogade when Tom and I went to Orlando. NEVER AGAIN! 2. I met a cool hooper OUT OF STATE! How awesome! 3. I got to travel with a different person to see MY BESTEST DEB! I sum that trip up with the post of Reston Shopping Center, such a beautiful day.
NO DOUBT IN CONCERT! Tom took me to see No Doubt on the lawn and that was the happiest time for me because I have never seen them in concert and it was like the stars aligned and they heard my cries for reunion. I sang loudly to all their songs, jumped up and down and felt like a silly human in my cowboy boots.
Trying Crepes for the first time - The Raspberry Chicken crepe is worth it.
Oxygen Bars in Vegas! - I mean, LAS VEGAS in general, but the oxygen bar was the most fun for me. I can say that I did try flavored oxygen and you get a relaxed, buzzed feeling. But I enjoyed Vegas since I got to explore and traveled alone part of it. I learned that I'm pretty friendly and willing to talk to anyoneeeeee!
Scooter / KISS - I got my pink scooter in October and it was an important purchase for my independence and self confidence. I have since learned I'm a good, cautious driver while being hellbent on staying pretty by gearing up well. I had some setbacks, but I have not regretted purchasing this scooter at all. I'm happy I got to see KISS, they are an entertaining band to watch live. They put on an incredible show and I wanted to be able to catch them while I could! I had fun with Tom on this trip.
Raleigh Scooter Meetup! - I got to learn how to ride in a group! And GO TO A MEETUP! They gave me tips and advice and I had Bob's fish tacos. Soooooo good.
My first apartment! - Growing out my bangs - X-MAS at MANKILLER-FANG, industries! - I didn't document a lot of the holidays because around Thanksgiving to Christmas, I had come to a crossroads. I had to make the hardest decision of my life to be true to myself. I made the steps for personal growth and happiness. I broke off my first major relationship, got my own apartment, and spent a lot of time with good friends. Finding out just how many people really go to bat for me. (Thank you so much. I am so appreciate of your help and love. Big and small.) I learned a lot about myself in December. Oh and my hair without bangs looks FABULOUS! I decided before my birthday I didn't wanna deal with long hair and having to style it all the time. Go with what makes me happy! Wash, dry, brush through, done!
I really had fun this year, good times and bad, it was a fun year for discovery! Goodbye, 2009! You were quite the ride!
